Golden Fields
Andrew McConnel has hit the restaurant scene with yet another amazing restaurant, Golden Fields. Golden Fields is located at 157 Fitzroy Street St Kilda. The restaurant offers a personal interpretation of chef Andrew McConnell's favourite Asian eating experiences. Andrew McConnel has also started Cumulus and Cutler and Co dining rooms in recent time. All three restaurants are worth the journey to taste his Andrew's amazing cuisine.
On Monday 24th October Ocean Eight winemaker Mike Aylward and The Story winemaker Rory Lane hosted a wine and food matching experience at Golden Fields. With Mike Aylward winning the judges choice at this years Young Gun of Wine Festival and Rory Lane taking out the people's choice there was an amazing match of food and wine on the table.
The highlight for Mike Aylward was the Lobster Burger. The richness of this entree matched the 2010 Ocean Eight Pinot Gris to perfection.
